GATE is an international organization working on gender identity, gender expressions and sex characteristics. It was founded in 2009, and it is registered in New York (USA). GATE programmatic work is organized around four main areas: Depathologization, HIV, Movement Building and UN, with a cross-cutting emphasis on socio-economic justice.
Since its creation ten years ago, GATE has supported trans, gender diverse and intersex organizing by producing data and analysis on access to funding, advocating to increase available funds to trans-led and intersex-led groups and addressing the negative impact of funding inequalities in our movements. We are seeking to hire an enthusiastic expert consultant to work with us in designing and implementing the next steps in this work.
