WHO guidelines for key populations: what is new and what is important

The World Health Organization (WHO) has released a video summary and update on the Consolidated guidelines on HIV, viral hepatitis and STI prevention, diagnosis, treatment and care for Key Populations.

To make the WHO Guidelines more accessible for trans and gender diverse communities, GATE created a Smart Guide that can be used as a tool when advocating for rights-based services.

The new recommendations were informed by reviews of scientific evidence and a community values and preferences study conducted by four global key population-led networks: Global Action for Trans Equality (GATE), the Global Network of Sex Work Projects (NSWP), the International Network of People Who Use Drugs (INPUD), and MPact Alliance for Gay Men’s Health and Rights (MPact).
