The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are the world’s most widely adopted framework for measuring human rights, equality, and well-being. Yet trans and gender diverse communities remain largely invisible in how the SDGs are implemented, monitored, and resourced at the national level and multilateral level – even as we are disproportionately affected by the inequalities the goals are meant to address.
This 1-hour webinar introduces GATE’s 2026 edition of the Sustainable Development Goals and Trans Engagement Guide – a practical resource designed to help trans-led and allied organizations engage with the SDGs work at the country, regional, and global levels.
What will you learn?
Best Chitsanupong, GATE’s Human Rights Officer, will guide you through the Guide’s structure and highlight:
- Which SDGs are of the highest strategic relevance to trans communities
- Concrete entry points such as the Voluntary National Reviews (VNRs), the High-Level Political Forum (HLPF), national consultations, and coalitions with feminist and broader civil society movements.
