Purity Tukwasibwe, a trans woman from Uganda currently living in Sweden, delivered a statement on behalf of Swedish Federation for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Intersex Rights (RFSL) and welcomed the Special Rapporteur’s on the Rights to Freedom of Peaceful Assembly and of Association timely report and its intersectional analysis of the obstacles LGBTI and other vulnerable groups face in exercising peaceful assembly during elections.
