Blue Diamond Society was founded in 2001 and is committed to creating a society in which sexual and gender minorities (SGM) can live with equal rights, freedom, dignity and a full range of opportunities. BDS works to address human rights violations, inequality, stigma and discrimination, and lack of access to education, employment and healthcare services for SGM people, including Third Genders in Nepal. They partner with various local and international organizations to lead projects on health and HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention, including care, support and treatment; policy change in governance; human rights documentation, including legal and constitutional rights violations; employment and income generating opportunities, culture and media representation and more.
This 2-day workshop took place from 14-15 May 2018 in Kathmandu, Nepal, with 16 trans activists.
