Before You Apply
Before you apply, please read About Our Membership Structure, where we have listed frequently asked questions, outlined the membership structure responsibilities and benefits, and provided details about the membership structure selection process.
Please read the information below on how to complete the application process. If you still have questions or are uncertain if your organization, group or network meets the application criteria, please contact us at membership@gate.ngo and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
For this application form, GATE is using a Google Form. In order to complete this form, you will need a Google email address, as this is a restriction imposed by Google Forms to enable file uploads.
- If your group/organization already has a Google email address, you will have to log in to your account in order to complete the application process.
- If you do not have a Google email account, please create a temporary Gmail account in order to complete the application process. You will not be required to retain this email address, as you will have the option to manually provide your non-Google/preferred email address once inside the application form. We will only communicate with you using the preferred email address/es that you provide in the form.
Before applying, please read the Membership Structure Documents carefully, as you will be required to confirm your agreement with these policies before submitting your application. Please also take a look at GATE’s Regional Classifications as this relates to our membership structure.
Information to Prepare Before Applying
To prepare you for completing the application, please have the following information ready:
- General information about your group/organization, including links to your website and social media (if applicable);
- Information about your group/organization structure and leadership, including leadership demographics and a description of your organizational structure;
- Information about your group/organization’s work and community reach, including membership structure information (if applicable), demographics of the communities that your organization serves, and the main challenges that your organization faces;
- Why your group/organization wants to join GATE as a member;
- Contact details for an organization (separate from your own) that can endorse your application.
Documents to prepare for upload:
- A letter of endorsement from a separate organization in support of your application
Application Timeline
GATE will be opening applications later this year. Once the application process has closed, GATE will respond to successful applicants within 10 weeks.
