This policy brief presents a case for the inclusion of trans men, trans masculine persons, and gender diverse persons assigned female at birth (AFAB) in the global HIV response and broader development goals.
GATE, in collaboration with WHO, UNAIDS, and FCAA, has prepared a set of recommendations to help donors and other key stakeholders to support, partner with, and fund community-led responses.
The session will illustrate the current anti-rights atmosphere and demonstrate how the anti-gender movement links inextricably to restrictions to healthcare access for trans and gender diverse people. Panelists will showcase how the growing anti-gender movement affects the response to HIV, harm reduction, and sexual and reproductive rights services overall.
